DAY 1

Visit to Bogota

Welcome to Bogota.

Upon arrival you will be assisted at the El Dorado International Airport and then transferred to your hotel.

DAY 2

City tour of Bogota

In the morning, the city tour will begin, with a panoramic tour of the historical sector of the city, passing by the Colón Theatre, the San Carlos Palace, the place where the Chancellery, the San Ignacio Church, the Presidential Palace of Nariño, the Plaza de Bolívar, the Capitol, the Mayor’s Office and the Primate Cathedral are located. Visit to the famous Gold Museum. At the end, ascent by cable car to Cerro de Monserrate from where you can have an excellent view of the Colombian capital.

Return to the hotel.

DAY 3

Visit to Santa Marta

Welcome to Santa Marta

Transfer from your hotel to El Dorado- Bogota International Airport.

You will board your flight to Santa Marta (additional cost) and upon arrival you will be transferred from Simon Bolivar International Airport to your hotel.

DAY 4

City tour of Santa Marta

In the morning, the cultural tour of Santa Marta will begin with a visit to the Quinta de San Pedro Alejandrino, considered a sanctuary of the homeland. In the past, a 17th century hacienda dedicated to the production of rum, honey, and panela was the site of the death of Liberator Simon Bolivar and a permanent art exhibition at the Bolivarian Museum of Modern Art. Then you will go to the Tayrona Gold Museum where you will visit the collection of pre-Columbian pieces of gold and silver work, ceramics and lithics from the ancient indigenous cultures of the Magdalena region. To visit the Historical Center of Santa Marta, is to enter the great historical wealth of the city, the architectural gems and interesting places like old houses, parks and colonial squares, witnesses of important chapters in the local and national history. The Historic Center was declared a National Monument in 1963.

Return to the hotel.

DAY 5

Transfer Santa Marta – Cartagena

In the morning you will make the land transfer from Santa Marta to Cartagena.

DAY 6

City tour in Trolley

In the morning the boarding of the trolley will begin, which can be done in one of the four areas of the city, three in the modern area and one in the historical area. The route through the modern zone crosses San Martín Avenue, which leads to the Laguito sector. You will then go to the historic district of Gethsemane, passing through the beautiful park “Paseo de los Mártires”, in honors of the heroes of freedom. Then you will cross the Roman bridge to reach the Manga neighborhood, where you will find the fishing club and the famous houses of the Republican era, continuing on to the Cerro de la Popa, where you will make a stop. Continuing in the Trolley to visit the Castle of San Felipe, the largest Spanish military fort in America. Its construction took 36 years. At the end of the walk, you will arrive at the famous Walled Centre, where the Indian sculpture Catherine, considered a heroine for her courage in battle, stands out. You will walk through the narrow streets inside the walls visiting the Vault with its 47 arches and 23 areas, which served as a prison and today houses craft shops. The tour will end with a walk through the historic center.

DAY 7

Majagua Island

Spend the day on San Pedro de Majagua Island in the Rosario island Natural Park; the Rosario island Natural Park is an archipelago made up of 27 islands, 45 minutes from Cartagena de Indias. The Hotel San Pedro de Majagua is located in Grande island and owes its name to the master Pierre Daguet, French painter who in 1955 created his house and studio there, where we will enjoy the wonderful beach and a delicious lunch with lobster.

DAY 8

Cartagena – International Departure

At the scheduled time you will be transferred from your hotel to the Rafael Nuñez International Airport in Cartagena so that you can board your flight.
