Itinerary

DAY 1

Welcome to Bogota

Upon arrival you will be assisted at the El Dorado International Airport and then transferred to your hotel for accommodation. In the afternoon, the city tour will begin, with a panoramic tour of the historical sector of the city, passing by the Colón Theatre, the San Carlos Palace, the place where the Chancellery, the San Ignacio Church, the Presidential Palace of Nariño, the Plaza de Bolívar, the Capitol, the Mayor’s Office and the Primate Cathedral are located. You will visit the famous Gold Museum. At the end, you will ascend by cable car to Cerro de Monserrate from where you will have an excellent view of the Colombian capital.

Return to the hotel.

DAY 2

Visit to the Salt Cathedral – Zipaquirá

In the morning you will start your tour to the Salt Cathedral in Zipaquirá, located 49 km north of Bogota. On the way, you will be able to observe some places of interest such as the Sabana de Bogota and the Puente del Común. The Salt Cathedral of Zipaquirá, built in a mine 180 meters deep and considered the first wonder of Colombia, inside you can visit the Deambulatorio or Viacrucis, La Cúpula, La Rampa, El Coro, Los Balcones, El Complejo del Nártex and the great naves of the Cathedral. Finally, you will have a panoramic tour of the town of Zipaquirá and a typical lunch in the municipality of Chía, which INCLUDED an appetizer, main course, dessert and a light drink. This lunch will be served in the restaurant El Pórtico, a very special restaurant, as its recipes are original and typical, based on the old cuisine. Today it has a very complete wine list, the gastronomy of El Pórtico also evolves with different proposals such as the Argentine Festival during the months of May and June. It is the ideal place to enjoy the exquisite table, the good wine, and a pleasant company. Return to Bogota.

DAY 3

Welcome to Medellin

Transfer from your hotel to El Dorado- Bogota International Airport.

You will board your flight to Medellin (additional cost) and upon arrival you will be met at the José María Córdova International Airport and transferred to your hotel.

Free afternoon.

DAY 4

Finca Silletera

In the morning you will start the City tour, accompanied by a guide or guide, will begin the visit to El Poblado Park, from there take the Regional Avenue, the guide will indicate one of the most important buildings in the city, the Bancolombia Building. Undoubtedly Pueblito Paisa is one of the places that could not miss in this tour, there will be a stop of 30 minutes to observe the panorama and know the artisan market that offers the place.  After this stop, you will go to the Parque de los Pies Descalzos, passing by Plaza Mayor and the Alpujarra Administrative Centre.  Then you will go around the Plaza de Botero and the Parque Bolívar, in that order you will drive to the Parque de los Deseos where you will make the last stop and receive your snack and then observe the Planetarium, the University of Antioquia, Concha Acústica, Casa de la Música, Parque Explora and the Botanical Garden (not including entrance fee).                   

In the afternoon you will visit Santa Helena, on your arrival you will take an ecological tour in a silletera farm where you will be able to observe the whole process of the flowers and the elaboration of the silletas, emblematic symbol of the Fair of the flowers, during this tour you will be given a hydration. In addition, you will enjoy a typical lunch of the region and all the custom paisa. Return to the hotel.

DAY 5

Welcome to Cartagena

Transfer from your hotel to José María Córdova International Airport, Medellin.

You will board your flight to Cartagena (additional cost) and upon arrival you will be transferred from Rafael Núñez International Airport to your hotel.

DAY 6

Cartagena Tour

In the morning you will start the City Tour, visiting the modern city, bordering one of the most beautiful bays in America, Cartagena Bay, and the Manga neighborhood, where you will appreciate republican style houses. Then you will visit the convent of La Candelaria on the Cerro de la Popa, one of the highest in the city.  Visit to the monument to the old shoes and the Fort “Castillo San Felipe de Barajas”, one of the most important historical military fortifications of the city. Afterwards, you will visit the Vault, go shopping and finally walk through the walled town, strolling through its main streets and squares.

At night you will take a drive, which is an excellent way to visit Cartagena and see the city from another point of view and above all in total tranquility. The sound of the hooves of the horse in the alleys of the city is incomparable and the romantic or familiar aspect is exquisite. The tour by car lasts 30 or 60 minutes and has a capacity for four people. This tour starts in the marina park. The walk ends with a dinner at the Santísimo restaurant, which INCLUDED: entrance, fort and dessert.

DAY 7

Majagua Island

Spend the day on San Pedro de Majagua Island in the Rosario island Natural Park; the Rosario island Natural Park is an archipelago made up of 27 islands, 45 minutes from Cartagena de Indias. The Hotel San Pedro de Majagua is located in Grande island and owes its name to the master Pierre Daguet, French painter who in 1955 created his house and studio there, where he will enjoy the wonderful beach and a delicious lobster lunch.

Return in the afternoon.

DAY 8

Cartagena – International Departure
